Name: Patronise F1
Description: Fan-run website, specialising in sarcasm.
Bio: Patronisef1.com is a great website for Formula One fans who like their sport served up with a heavy dollop of tongue-in-cheek humour. And let’s face it – sometimes F1 really does leave itself wide open to this sort of site!
All contributors write under a body-part pseudonym – The Foot, The Head, The Beard etc – and they’re very witty. They write a brilliant newsletter (Patty Weekly) and run a hilarious championship of their own, based, as far as one can tell, on their own driver biases – which generally means that Nico Rosberg or Mark Webber will be top. Totally irrelevant but very funny.
That’s not to say that they don’t take things seriously, however. They run a live commentary of all practice sessions, Qualifying and the race and a great live chat afterward for everyone to debate and commiserate. They also update their site really regularly with all the big news.
Their tweets are characteristically funny and keep you up to date with additions to the site and their (insane) musings.
