Name: Darren Heath
Occupation: Photographer
Bio: Darren Heath is Formula One’s “official photographer”. His client list is highly impressive and includes some of the biggest teams in F1 (Ferrari, McLaren), some of the biggest publications (The Observer, The Times, The Telegraph), some of the biggest motorsport organisations (F1 Racing, Top Gear) and…er…the FIA.
He is a brilliant person to follow on Twitter – he’s great at replying to his followers and, as he has no real allegiance to any team or organisation, his tweets are very honest – and sometimes pretty scathing! His photographs are the real reason to follow him, however. Formula One is a difficult sport to photograph – how do you capture the atmosphere, the excitement, the passion of it? Ask Darren Heath – his work is beautiful and incredibly atmospheric. Check out his pictures of Alonso celebrating his win in Bahrain as proof.
